Users can also leave comments with their thoughts. Recent user comments include “Missing so many features I used to adore. I am saddened,” “Please change it back to the way it was,” and “I hate it and if it doesn’t change I will only check it once in awhile.” Ah, the fickle user.
Washington Post also added, “These Facebook polls are awesome in general, though, and we can’t figure out why they won’t let everyone use them. Earlier this year Facebook stopped letting advertisers and users create their own polls, although they used them extensively at the Davos World Economic Forum”.

Once again Facebook has redesigned its look and so many users are already started make complains. Some members have even formed protest groups to pressure Facebook to reconsider the move. Also so many angry status messages and even a protest day has been planned. One group called “One million against the new Facebook look,” had 254,512 members at this afternoon.
The last time Facebook went through a redesign, a few months back, thousands of people took an instant dislike to it. This time, however, I wonder whether the people at Facebook will be able to get off so lightly. I like to think that I know a fair amount about user experience after my years of web and application design, and I feel that they may have lost the plot a little bit on this one.

The big difference between the last change and this one is that last time round it was more of a re-arrangement of existing features than a more substantial change of direction. Whereas the Facebook-using public already knew what all the features were, and were quickly able to relocate those that they used, this latest update has left many, including myself, scratching our heads in confusion.

Christine Ledo, a veterinary technician in Oakland, said she’s upset that Facebook changed how it handles what she called “passive information.” Previously, she could see in her feed when a friend connected with someone else or joined a group. It tipped her off to people she might also want to friend or groups she might want to join. Now, she complains, the information appears in a different place or not at all.

Ledo said she’s giving Facebook a month to fix the problem. Every day the company doesn’t, she said, she sends it a message. If Facebook doesn’t respond after a month, Ledo said, “I am deleting my account.”
