
Better Business Bureau(BBB) has issued official warning to make people aware of new Facebook scam “ClickJacking”. ClickJacking scam has effected thousands of facebook users in last 24hours.
ClickJacking is similar to many others scams which attacked Facebook over the years. It attracts users with status like “OMG This Guy Went a Little Too Far with His Revenge on His Ex-Girlfriend”. On clicking the link it asks users to complete a validation test to ensure that the response is not computer. However, by responding users are actually clicking Facebook’s “share” and “like” buttons, while also posting the message to their wall.
According to US Today report, Although the scam doesn’t spread malware or spyware it will hammer user with spam and send messages to their friends containing the same link
The Better Business Bureau is urging victims of the scam to remove the status update and any worrisome links that are located in the “like” area of their wall.
