It’s the loss of personalization features and filtering control.

If people take time to read through the comments in the Ne Facebook Layout survey and look through the FAQ comments in the Help section, you’ll find just this.

The horrid Highlights section is especially hated,redundant, forced, USELESS and should never have taken up all the space of birthdays and events at a glance.

And they KNOW this. I just noticed this morning they put some of the event/birthday info back up top in now-collapsable form.

At best, a decent compromise that show someone’s listening – FINALLY.

We’ll see how far that goes.
